All five greenspaces of the Somer Valley Rediscovered project are popular locations for dog walkers but unfortunately dog fouling is a problem.
During Love Parks Week, 28th July –6th August, Somer Valley Rediscovered, in partnership with environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy, will be launching their ‘Do it for your Dog’ campaign, in the hope of influencing behaviour change and to capture the attention of dog lovers and hit home the message that dog fouling is unacceptable.
The campaign is social media led, featuring ‘Ben the Boxer’ and ‘Sarah the Spaniel’ with the support of posters at entrances to the green sites and some engagement and giveaways during Love Parks Week.
While it’s not a pleasant task, picking up your dog’s poo is an important part of being a responsible dog owner and is legally required.
Dog poo can carry diseases which are harmful to humans AND other dogs.
9 out of 10 dog owners clean up after their dog. Don’t be the odd one out.
