Tai Chi
Tai Chi is a gentle form of exercise that can help maintain strength, flexibility, and balance. Tai Chi originated in China as a martial art and you can get started even if you aren’t in top shape or the best of health.
In this low-impact, slow-motion exercise, you go without pausing through a series of motions named for animal actions for example, “white crane spreads its wings”, or martial arts moves, such as “box both ears.” As you move, you breathe deeply and naturally, focusing your attention — as in some kinds of meditation — on your bodily sensations. Tai chi differs from other types of exercise in several respects. The movements are usually circular and never forced, the muscles are relaxed rather than tensed, the joints are not fully extended or bent, and connective tissues are not stretched.
Our Tai Chi Instructor is currently teaching Ba Men, which is a fairly easy form to learn – at the start, as one learns the movements the practice is gentle, opening the joints, building a more connected body etc but it can also be practised in a way that’s much harder and while one is still moving slowly it provides much more of a workout – so it can be tailored to the needs of those attending without the need to teach different things to different people.
Our Winter Tai Chi course is starting on Tuesday 13th January, 10:00 – 11:15. Use the button below to book on!
Park Yoga
Park Yoga has now finished for this year, we hope to be able to support Park Yoga again in 2026!

Please bring a yoga mat and a blanket to the class, a limited amount of spares will be available if needed.
Classes are being led by Zen Rebel Studio yoga instructors.
Free and no need to book a place!
