You’ll get the chance to explore the beautiful surroundings of Waterside Valley. \nNo prior knowledge is required\, so whether you’re a nature enthusiast\, a curious explorer\, or simply looking for a unique experience\, this event is for you. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to connect with nature and deepen your understanding of the natural world! \nThis walk will be on a mix of gravel paths and grassed paths on some uneven ground. \nBooking is essential as spaces are limited. Children aged 6+ are welcome but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. \nMeeting outside Swallow’s Cafe\, Radstock\, we will be walking along Waterside Valley and into the Haydon Batch woodlands. \nParking is available at Church Street Car Park\, please avoid parking at Swallow Community Cafe as spaces are limited for cafe users. \nWe will aim to return to Swallow’s Cafe for 15:00.

Come and join us! \nIt’s easy to collage insects from bits of old discarded magazines and photographs; just cut fragments of paper into shapes with scissors and stick them down with glue.\nCollage is a simple technique to master and fun for children of any age to try. \nMarian Hill studied illustration at Kingston University. DESCRIPTION:Wild Walks are seasonal wellbeing adventures for women\, all about connecting with nature\, the seasons and with each other. \n\n\n\n\nWomen’s Wild Walk – Transition into Autumn \nWild Walks are seasonal wellbeing adventures for women\, all about: \n✨ Connecting with nature \n✨ Connecting with the seasons \n✨ Connecting with each other \n📅 Wednesday 26th August\n🕙 Meet at 10:15 for a 10:30 start (approx. 2.5 hours)\n📍 Meeting point: Entrance to Haydon Batch (outside Haydon Que Club) ///wipes.cheesy.forwarded \n🚗 Parking: Kilmersdon Road ///safest.means.irrigate \nWe’ll begin with a gentle wander into the batch\, pausing at the stone circle for a short meditation. This is a chance to slow down\, tune into our senses\, and really arrive in the landscape. If you’d like\, walk leader Jess can also draw a nature-inspired oracle card for you. \nFrom here\, we’ll enjoy a varied route over the batch and through wooded areas\, before descending into the peaceful Waterside Valley and continuing on towards Radstock. We’ll stop at Swallow Café\, where there’s the option to treat yourself to a coffee and cake. \nOur return follows the river back through the valley\, with plenty of green space\, riverside views\, and glimpses of local heritage along the way. Expect gentle terrain\, a relaxed but steady pace\, and lots of opportunities to spot wildlife. A reasonable level of fitness will help you enjoy the walk comfortably. \nWhat to bring: Layers\, walking boots\, spare socks\, water\, lip balm\, and any personal essentials.
