SUMMARY:Nature Craft Connection 6 Week Course
DESCRIPTION:A free 6-week course for adults of all ages to explore\, reignite\, and deepen connections to the living world and our relationship with it\, and benefit from the support\, health\, and wellbeing found in this. \nThe course offers easy practices to engage with nature and to learn more about its plants\, animals\, and the land around us through natural land skills\, crafting / creative activities\, mindfulness\, sharing inspirations\, and wandering in nature. The creative practice will include a variety of nature crafts using materials such as willow\, charcoal\, wool\, and wood. \nYou will be guided to be aware of the living world around us\, and how it can support us. There will be a chance to check in where we will be able to share and hear from each other. \nThe course allows people to explore and experience nature according to their relationship with it\, to learn and enjoy it in ways that naturally suit them best. There is no expectation to engage in these activities\, you can see how you feel on the day. \nThe course dates are: \n\nThursday 13 November\nThursday 20 November\nThursday 27 November\nThursday 4 December\nThursday 11 December\nThursday 18 December\n\nThere is a toilet and café on the site. We will be walking down Waterside Valley to set up camp chairs by the river and explore the surroundings. When cold we will have a fire to warm us and heat water for hot drinks. If the weather is wild we’ll use the church rooms for indoor crafting space. \nWe will meet at the St Nick’s Church Rooms / SWALLOW Community Café in Radstock at 10:00 am. \nIf you have any questions please contact EcoWild at +44 781 215 5659

DESCRIPTION:Build a beautiful winter wreath with Somer Valley Rediscovered. Learn some basic crafting skills and go home with something wonderful to add to your Christmas decorations. \nWe will be making a fresh green wreath on a willow base\, all materials are provided\, but please do bring anything extra that you would like\, or battery-powered fairy lights for a little sparkle! \nJoin us at the Radstock Trinity Hub\, for a guided workshop that will last 2 hours. \nTimings: \n18:00 – 20:00 \nLocation: \nTrinity Hub (Community Centre)The Methodist Centre\, The St\, Radstock BA3 3PL\, UK \nParking is available at Church Street Car Park\, but please walk\, bus or cycle if possible! \nThis session is suitable for adults only to attend. \nAll materials and refreshments are included. \nBooking is essential due to materials required on the day. \nWe ask that if you can no longer attend you let us know as soon as possible to allow people on the waiting list to attend. \nThis event is part of the Somer Valley Rediscovered project\, supported by B&NES Council and funded by the West of England Combined Authority Green Recovery Fund.
