SUMMARY:Haydon Batch BioBlitz!
DESCRIPTION:A BioBlitz in Haydon Batch\, Radstock\, with Dr Helena Crouch to learn about the wildlife on the Batch and how to identify it. We will also be recording the things we see using the iNaturalist App for the City Nature Challenge. This is an introductory session suitable for beginners and novices who are interested in learning more. \nChildren are welcome to attend but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Some great resources can be found here. \nBefore you join us on the day\, here is some great information on how to download the iNaturalist App and get started with recordings\, Phoebe will also run through this on the day! \nThe Somer Valley Rediscovered has organised this event to celebrate City Nature Challenge Global Project 2025. \nWe will be meeting outside the entrance to Haydon Que Club on Kilmersdon Road\, Haydon. Please arrive 10 minutes before we start to allow time for introductions. \nThe walk will be on slightly unlevel ground on grass\, with some gentle hills at a steady pace. \nAny questions please do email us at somervalleyrediscovered.org.uk
